Frequently Asked Questions
Is Cash Copilot a budgeting app?
Yes, it now includes monthly category budgets for groceries, dining out, day-to-day spending, and other categories. It still focuses on safe-to-spend decisions, so budgets are paired with projections and threshold alerts instead of rigid judgement.
What are expected expenses?
Expected expenses are monthly recurring estimates detected from your history, such as subscriptions, loans, utilities, or regular payments. The historical source transactions explain why a pattern was detected; they are not meant to add up to the monthly estimate.
Can Cash Copilot warn me before I hit a budget?
Yes. You can set a monthly limit and threshold for a category. Cash Copilot compares spending with the limit, projects your end-of-month pace, and can suggest maintaining or increasing the threshold when spending is intentional.
Is Cash Copilot financial advice?
No. Cash Copilot is a decision-support tool. It helps you understand your money, but it does not replace professional financial advice.
Does Cash Copilot move my money?
No. Imports are read-only. Cash Copilot cannot move money, initiate payments, or change your accounts.
Why is safe-to-spend conservative?
Because the goal is to protect you from overspending, forgotten bills, and uncertainty.
Can I use it with multiple accounts?
Yes. Cash Copilot is designed to help you understand your full money picture across accounts.
Do I need to connect everything?
No. You stay in control of what you connect and what data you share.
Why is the app conservative?
Because it’s designed to protect you from overspending and uncertainty, not to push you toward risky decisions.
Can I delete my data?
Yes. You can request access to or deletion of your data at any time, in accordance with GDPR.
